In April, 2016, the Firm relocated its Naperville office to 1717 N. Naper Blvd., Suite 200, Naperville, IL 60563.

In November, 2015, the Firm settled three, related litigation matters involving claims and counterclaims of trademark infringement, patent infringement, false patent marking and false advertising, pending before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

In March, 2015, ALM named Charles C. Kinne one of "Chicago's Top Rated Lawyers of 2015." ALM is the nation's largest publisher of legal media including The National Law Journal, Corporate Counsel and The American Lawyer. This is the fourth year that ALM has compiled such a list, and the fourth year Mr. Kinne was named to the list.

In September and October, 2013, Charles C. Kinne served as jury foreman during a criminal trial in the Circuit Court of the 18th Judicial Circuit, DuPage County, Illinois. This experience provided a fascinating opportunity to see things firsthand from the jury's perspective.

In March, 2013, Charles C. Kinne defended a motion for contempt of the U.S. District Court, obtaining Plaintiffs' withdrawal of the motion in the middle of an evidentiary hearing involving seven potential witnesses. Additionally, the Court struck from its original order the very provisions Plaintiffs alleged to have been violated.

In January, 2013, Charles C. Kinne presented "The America Invents Act: Its Effect on Corporate America" to management personnel at OCI Chemical Co. in Atlanta, Georgia.

In October, 2012, Charles C. Kinne presented "The Expert Deposition: A Lawyer's Perspective" to consultants with Exponent, Inc. in Naperville, Illinois.

In September, 2012, the firm welcomed Mary E. Adams, Ph.D., as a Patent Agent.

In July, 2012, Charles C. Kinne spoke to a group of engineering students about careers in engineering and law at the Piya Wiconi campus of Oglala Lakota College, located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in Kyle, South Dakota.

In June, 2012, Charles C. Kinne obtained certification as a Mediator, completing the course requirements at DePaul Law School's Center for Dispute Resolution.

In February, 2011, the firm successfully defended a preliminary injunction that would have stopped our client from displaying its complete line of products at the Dealer Expo in Indianapolis. The motion was filed with a seven-count lawsuit, and the firm had less than one week to prepare for and present evidence at the hearing.

In November, 2010, the firm successfully resolved a copyright infringement dispute between its client and Masterfile Corporation, a Canadian corporation in the business of copyright licensing and enforcement.

In June, 2010, the firm successfully enforced the copyrights owned by a Finnish photographer in a dispute with two parties over unauthorized usage on a website, working in conjunction with the U.K. firm of Bird & Bird.

In February, 2009, the firm concluded its successful defense of the Huntair v. ClimateCraft litigation, obtaining for ClimateCraft the ability to continue its sales of industrial air handling equipment without interference from Huntair, who was represented by one of the world's largest law firms.
